Throughout its years of service, Your Choice Coach has helped numerous financial executives advance their careers and achieve defined goals by emphasizing a proactive approach.
As the leader of the company, Simone Sloan’s vast experience gives her the advantage of addressing issues specific to her clients’ industries. By customizing her approach, Simone pinpoints the challenges financial professionals face and devises appropriate solutions to achieve results.
Your Choice Coach starts by identifying a client’s needs and then works with clients to develop a plan to meet their unique needs. The following example concerns a client in the banking industry who was looking to make a career move but felt stuck in their current position.
After being passed over for a number of promotions, the client, a manager in the banking industry, became confused by their company’s willingness to pigeonhole someone in their current role. Furthermore, the client had limited visibility to showcase their abilities across the organization. Ultimately, the client not only wanted to advance their career but to be valued and respected for their work and their contributions.
In order to achieve the client’s objective, Your Choice Coach conducted both a self-assessment and a 360 assessment to gain a deeper understanding of their personal brand and their colleagues’ experience with the client.
After gaining a better understanding of how the client saw themselves and how colleagues viewed the client, the next step involved co-creating an action plan. Addressing the gaps were essential in helping this banking professional transition to a new role and broaden their visibility across the organization. For this reason, a strategic, stakeholder management plan was created and executed against.
One of the main areas of concern was the manager’s communication style. Consequently, Your Choice Coach examined this person’s written, verbal and nonverbal communication and outlined areas for improvement. As a result, the manager became more confident, expanded their means of self-expression, and improved their overall approach to communicating with team members. In addition, the manager’s ability to strengthen interpersonal relationships across the organization increased, which created broader support at various levels within the organization.
